We designed a new key layout for Chinese input that also supports English, together with a shape-based input method. The traditional English full-size keyboard uses Latin letters and was patented in the United States in 1871. Its widespread adoption has drawn attention away from next-generation keyboard research. We aim to provide a keyboard and input method better suited to Chinese.
